Vacancy: Manager Safety

Location: Windhoek

Nature of the position: Permanent

Purpose of the position:

To manage, monitor and control all relevant health and safety systems and processes in order for Supply Chain to meet and exceed legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as to comply with international standards. In addition, to assist and advise management and ensure the development of the Supply Chain health and safety strategy.

Qualification and Experience Required:

• Degree in Safety Management or a related field with 5 years health & safety experience in a managerial capacity preferably in a FMCG environment
• Sound knowledge of OHS Act and related health & safety regulations
• Sound knowledge of relevant ISO standards
• MS Office proficient

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop, implement and manage the health and safety strategy for Supply Chain
• Emergency coordinating and investigation
• Manage the effectiveness and performance of health & safety systems within Supply Chain
• Develop, implement and review health & safety procedures, processes and work instructions
• Conduct periodic health & safety risk assessments
• Manage and control the annual budget
• Ensure compliance to health and safety standards and act
• Drive continuous improvement
