Primary purpose of the position:
To lead, support, coordinate, manage, implement, and deliver against marine repair project plans in time and within budget to the satisfaction of the customer. Additionally, to coordinate and manage engineering and technical development projects.

Required skills/abilities:
Software Proficiency: Candidates should have expertise in using industry-standard project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent, and familiarity with CAD software for technical drawings and schematics.
Lead Others: Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and guide team members towards achieving project goals.
Building Relationships: Proven capability in establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with all stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and team members.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams to meet project objectives.
Persuasiveness and Influence: Skilled in negotiating and influencing others to achieve beneficial outcomes.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Technical and Management Competence: Solid technical grounding in marine engineering or naval architecture, complemented by robust project management skills.

Qualification and Experience Required:
- A bachelors degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field at (NQF Level 7) plus eight (8) years of experience in project management within engineering-intensive environment of which five (5) years should have been at a middle management level.
OR
- A three (3) year National Engineering Diploma (NQF level 6) plus ten (10) years of project management experience within engineering fields, of which five (5) years should have been at a middle management level.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a ship repair or shipbuilding environment.
- Recognised Project Management certification (e.g. PMP) is an added advantage.
- A Valid Drivers License (Code B).
