Position: Production Supervisor

A well established company pioneering Namibia's largest and premier retail outlet inspiring fine living has a vacancy for an innovative, sophisticated and contemporary person who will offer clients a unique experience in a wide range of products, ranging from wood-based products and hardware. Joiners, cupboard manufacturers, furniture makers or shopfitters, are needed to assist with offering high-end cutting and edging services aligned to the latest in-home improvement trends.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

The Production Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction within the production process.

• Oversee daily operations, managing staff performance, and ensure high-quality service delivery to our customers.
• Supervise the board cutting and edging operation in a professional manner to increase sales at acceptable margins.
• Optimizing on quality and stock availability.
• Ensure proper maintenance of machinery monthly as per manufacturer specification.
• Monitor Health and Safety standards and procedures for board cutting and edging and implement Health and Safety measures.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: REQUIREMENTS:

• An enthusiastic individual with excellent Customer Service skills.
• Excellent communicator with good organizing and personal interaction skills.
• A self-starter and good team player.
• Someone that can work under pressure and lead a team assertively.
• Must have completed Grade 11 (New Curriculum) or Grade 12 (NSSC-O) with 22 marks.
• Diploma in Carpentry or Joinery will be advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in Carpentry, Joinery, Board cutting and edging or related fields within the Retail, Manufacturing or the Building Industry.
• Must have a valid Code B Drivers License.
• Kerridge system experience would be an added advantage.
