Position: Human Recources Business Partner

Location: Windhoek, Namibia

Role Purpose Align HR strategies and practices with overall business objectives, acting as a strategic partner to leadership to drive business performance through effective people management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Alignment & Business Partnership: Collaborate with senior leadership to design data-driven HR strategies, analyze workforce trends, and coach managers on employee relations and leadership.
  • Talent Management & Acquisition: Lead talent acquisition, succession planning, and workforce planning in partnership with Talent Acquisition specialists.
  • Organizational Design & Change Management: Design effective organizational structures, facilitate workforce planning, and lead change management during operational transitions.
  • Performance & Culture: Drive a high-performance culture, manage the appraisal and calibration process, and design employee engagement and wellness initiatives.
  • Diversity & Employment Equity: Develop, track, and execute Business Unit Employment Equity (EE) plans and diversity programs.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance: Serve as policy custodian, advise managers on disciplinary/grievance matters, handle appeals, and ensure statutory compliance.
  • Learning & Development: Oversee study aid programs, placement of graduates/learners, and address BU-specific training needs with the L&D Center of Expertise.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Psychology, HRM, or related field (NQF 7).
  • Minimum 7 years of HR Generalist experience.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Note: Foreign qualifications require an evaluation report from the Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA).

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of Namibian labour legislation (Labour Act, Employment Equity Act, Social Security Act) and general HR best practices.
  • Core Competencies: Organizational design, workforce planning, change management, and strategic HR consulting.
  • Technical & Soft Skills: Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office; strong analytical, relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills.
