Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to work on advanced predictive modeling and data analysis projects. The role will focus on solution development, data integration, and analytics optimization while ensuring compliance with technical standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced Predictive Modeling & Data Analysis:
    Develop and implement advanced predictive models and perform complex data analysis to meet business and technical requirements. Maintain data-driven features and ensure proper documentation of developed solutions.
  • Solution Development & Implementation:
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into actionable data science solutions. Develop and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes to support data integration and analytics.
  • Compliance & Best Practices:
    Ensure that all data science activities adhere to established technical and architectural guidelines. Maintain proper documentation of all developed models and solutions.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork:
    Work within a team of 15 members in the Data & Analytics department. Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear reporting and delivering insights.

Skills & Qualifications

  • General Skills:
    Experience in the transportation sector is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving abilities, customer-focused mindset, and excellent communication skills. Ability to work in a virtual team environment.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proven experience in data science, with expertise in statistical techniques and machine learning models.
    • Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis.
    • Experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop or Spark, and familiarity with cloud environments like AWS or Microsoft Azure.
    • Knowledge of technologies such as Scala, Angular, Python libraries (Pandas, Flask, Torchvision), Azure SQL, Azure Blob Storage, Linux (Ubuntu), Onnx, Pytorch, and Docker.
    • Experience in data engineering and developing data pipelines or ETL processes.
    • Expertise in predictive algorithms and analytics, particularly in the transportation industry.
    • Proficiency in data visualization using tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
  • Certifications:
    Certifications in data science and Agile/Scrum methodologies are advantageous.
  • Behavioral Skills:

    • Self-motivated and able to take initiative.
    • Strong teamwork skills, able to collaborate with internal teams and external consultants.
    • Experience in project management and leadership is a plus.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
