Overview:

We are seeking a skilled HD Mechanic to join their team in Whitecourt, AB. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various trailers, as well as completing all CVIPs. Duties:

- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections

- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on various trucks and other equipment

- Use power tools and hand tools to disassemble, assemble, and repair components

- Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshoot electrical systems

- Perform diagnostics using specialized equipment

- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow

- Demonstrate a high level of commitment to safety, to yourself and colleagues

- Must be self motivated, work well with minimum supervision

- Must be available 24/7 when on call

- Must be receptive to working with short notice for call outs and overtime

Qualifications:

- Journeyperson HD Mechanic ticket, or third year apprentice

- Proven experience of at least 2 years in similar role

- Strong knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques

- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools

- Familiarity with electrical systems and diagnostics

Experience working with Kenworth and Peterbuilt equipment is a plus

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

- Strong customer service skills
