Job Openings Senior Protocol Engineer

About the job Senior Protocol Engineer

Our client specializes in crafting adaptable and modular infrastructure to facilitate the scalability of blockchain networks. Notable supporters of our client's endeavors include Polychain, Tribe Capital, and the Solana Foundation.

The company enhances blockchain scalability by segregating the sluggish components (consensus) from program execution (execution) and block data storage (data availability). Through this ingenious infrastructure, any application gains the capability to emerge as an independent blockchain entity without heightening its security vulnerabilities.

Position Overview: We are in search of a full-time Senior Protocol Engineer who will be dedicated to advancing mission-critical systems and concurrently overseeing a compact engineering unit.

Technical Project Outline: This venture amalgamates intricate systems design with the application of cutting-edge zero-knowledge research. The role encompasses supervising the engineering team in the development of system architecture while maintaining alignment with our research unit. We are more than willing to schedule a call to delve into project details and provide additional insights. Broadly, the Solana blockchain functions as a monolith, striving to fulfill multiple tasks simultaneously, including program execution, data storage, and establishment of final block sequencing. To enhance efficiency, these functions are modularized into high-throughput rollups. Our objective is to empower users to deploy their applications as Solana VM app rollups. Our Rust-based codebase stems from a derivative of the Solana blockchain. In the future, implementation of zero-knowledge settlement might necessitate modifications to LLVM.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of software engineering exposure within esteemed engineering-focused companies
  • Past engagement with cryptocurrency products, preferably within the infrastructure domain
  • Proficiency in leading and guiding fellow engineers
  • Strong command over low-level programming languages
  • Profound understanding of compilers and LLVM
  • Familiarity with zero-knowledge technologies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of software engineering experience within renowned engineering-oriented companies
  • Eagerness to acquire knowledge about cryptocurrency infrastructure (learning resources will be provided)
  • Proficiency in Rust programming
  • Bachelor's degree in EECS, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience

Application: The perfect candidate for this role will thrive within an inventive and dynamic team environment, contributing to the design and implementation of cryptocurrency technologies that exert influence over both our company's products and the wider industry.
