About the job Unit Head, Procurement

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives
  • Manage the sourcing of potential suppliers (including, vendor pre-qualification, RFQ and tender) and negotiate contracts to ensure the best possible terms and pricing
  • Managing purchase requisitions from requestors and issue purchase orders
  • Ensuring expenditure is within budget
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures and manage risks associated with procurement activities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Prepare reports and provide regular updates on procurement activity to senior management

REQUIREMENTS (Qualification/Experience/Skills)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
