About the job Unit Head, Procurement
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives
- Manage the sourcing of potential suppliers (including, vendor pre-qualification, RFQ and tender) and negotiate contracts to ensure the best possible terms and pricing
- Managing purchase requisitions from requestors and issue purchase orders
- Ensuring expenditure is within budget
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures and manage risks associated with procurement activities
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Prepare reports and provide regular updates on procurement activity to senior management
REQUIREMENTS (Qualification/Experience/Skills)
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
