JOB PURPOSE

KEY RESULT AREA 

Responsibilities:

  • Manages purchasing for whole school and facilities.
  • Coordinate closely with internal requestors to establish requirements for purchase of goods and services.
  • Analyze demand and supply trends, and support senior leadership with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.
  • Supply distribution, order tracking and receiving.

  • Provide a strategic, efficient, and flexible procurement service which will deliver optimum value for money, cost savings and best quality of service.
  • Follow and enforce the school's procurement policies and procedures.

  • Liaise between client offices and vendors to resolve any problematic matter; monitor delivery of goods and services.
  • Evaluate the performance of the vendors.
  • § Assist in the development of internal procedures and documentation in relation to local and overseas procurement.

  • Negotiate pricing and supply contracts, under the guidance of the Business Director.
  • Ensure that the products and supplies meet quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients
  • Maintain purchase records and other important data.
  • Provide regular reporting on open requests and purchase orders to allow clients to monitor the status of their requests.
  • Contract oversight for school bus service and coordinate requests for trip transportation.
  • Other appropriate duties as allocated by members of the SLT.
