About the job Head of Claims

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To work on Staff Training Project, Departmental SOP, Workflow Review and quality control for both Claims and Underwriting Departments.
  • Set up an effective departmental structure, logical & smooth workflow and efficient claim procedures
  • Manage and supervise claim supervisors to assess and settle claims in respect of effective corporate claims philosophy (plan and set up the effective and valuable added services for
  • consumers).
  • Ensure to effectively manage and motivate the claim staff.
  • Set up an efficient administrative support and record-keeping.
  • Check and approve all claims within the own authority and will get the approval from the upper level if it is beyond the authority.
  • Analyze claim data in order to monitor tightly the claim trend and also keep timely alert to the involved departments the claim experiences or other relevant information.
  • Control and monitor tightly internal cost of running department and claim costs.
  • Plan claim projection and budget for the department.
  • Be involved with preparing Business Plan or Business Strategy for the whole operation.
  • Provide claim training program in-house to claim staff.
  • Prepare monthly and annually claim report to the management team.
  • Provide the presentation about the claims procedure to clients.
  • Be involved with preparing marketing plan and strategy for insurance products.
  • Others jobs related to the Claims Department or the Company.
  • Other tasks as assigned by CEO.
