About the job Application Support Engineer

 Descrrption

To setup and maintain network infrastructure and digital application support. Perform system administration related duties including implement, maintain, and support (and retire/refresh where required) all locally hosted (On premise, and Cloud) network:

  • Maintain and ensure network components running in SIT/UAT/production are in a healthy state; Analyze and maintain network component to meet local operational needs;
  • Provide day-to-day support for network and telephony components;
  • Participate in the setup of test environments to ensure business can do their enhancements and new projects testing for assign applications.

  • Compliance, Audit, Risk related rating for IT
  • Regulatory and Compliance initiatives
  • Meeting project timeline and budgets
  • Training and skills upgrading

Job Responsibilities

IT Support

  • Ensure network and components system health
  • Ensure prompt and efficient provision of IT support based on assigned task
  • Oversee contingency plans and ensure their complian
  • Ensure IT assets are protected and secure

Application Support

  • Work with project and application teams to provide network and system provisioning to support the projects
  • Assist in the migration of applications based on end-user needs and business rationale
  • Assist team lead to write and table committee papers as required
  • Write Memos to authorize procurements
  • Write Memos to get deviation approvals where required
  • Work with project teams to support migration when needed

Other Responsibilities

  • Participate in fortnightly IT Steering Committee meeting
  • Maintain and keep up to date knowledge base, documentation, SOPs, and operations manual
  • Task as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or relevant engineering domains.
  • 1-2 years of experience in IT Support or similar role
  • Detailed technical knowledge IT network and applications
  • Experience with mobile, web applications and server-side application support
  • Understanding and Experience of working in an agile, fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in a Scrum Team is an advantage
  • Experience with cloud platforms is an advantage
