New Product Development Technologist

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Implementing/adhering to NPD process from initial concept to product launch, adhering to NPD critical path to ensure launches are on time and efficient 
• Leading and managing raw material sourcing and approval process via supply base and procurement department related to NPD. 
• Supporting stakeholders in customer product presentations 
• Supporting and leading product and production trials in line with NPD process 
• Supporting the Brewmaster/Quality Manager/Stakeholders on NPD strategy and planning reports. 
• Managing all data and information records for current and future brands, formulations, etc. 
• Conduct sensory panels related to NPD – taste assessments and consumer samples. Work closely with Sensory team in managing existing product development. 
• Supporting the business in post launch reviews where product, packaging, ingredients, process, sales and volume are all reviewed, and recommendations built for subsequent launches 
• Supporting the stakeholders with market information 

REQUIREMENT 

• Bachelor Degree of Chemistry, Food Science, or related field. 
• 2 years’ experience working in a food production or beverages with a focus on quality and innovation. 
• Track record of project management experience in food or beverage production facility. 
• Experience in providing process improvement and managing quality standards. 
• Ability to scale/calculate/evaluate raw materials and product formulations from a mathematical perspective. 
• Methodical with strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking skills. 
• Working knowledge of general lab equipment and procedures. 
• Formal beer, wine, or cider tasting training and experience in running a sensory program. Other food or beverage experience as relevant.
