RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with high-speed production line equipment (e.g., mechanical drive systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, conveyors).
Working with Electrical staff, troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with packaging/processing equipment such as wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, motors and drives.
Complete routine preventative maintenance tasks safely, cost effectively and on time.
Support food safety, quality and continuous improvement activities.
Request the design/fabrication of replacement parts or equipment as needed.
Take lead to consult with internal resources to resolve issues and make improvements to equipment.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area ensuring workspace and storage areas are free from debris and clutter.
The hours are: 7pm-1am or 1am-7am on Monday, OFF Tuesday 12 hours shift Wednesday, and then Thursday and Friday or Saturday Sunday 12hr shift 7pm 7am. Weekends required (alternating shift, switches each week.)
Shifts can also be traded with like trained teammates. We pay OT after 40 hours in a week, and Double Time after 48 hours in a week. Weve never had a layoff and we are looking to add great teammates to our existing strong team.
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS
Two years previous Production Line Mechanic or Technician experience preferred, OR equivalent technical degree or education.
Packaging and steel aerosol can or aluminum can making equipment experience is a plus.
Understanding of automation principles and controls logic is a plus.
Ability to use Maintenance Shop equipment is a plus.
Must be able to stand on your feet for the majority of the day and work in hot conditions, as well as crawl under lines and climb ladders.
Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to work occasional weekends if necessary.
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule.
