Connelly is seeking a full-time Investment Banker Vice President to join the Connelly Investment Banking (IB) team in our Puerto Rico offices. The IB team is dedicated to understanding the unique competitive and operating environment of our clients. The group combines strong relationships and industry knowledge with superior capital markets and advisory capabilities that
includes debt and equity capital raising solutions, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged finance, among others.
Salary range: $130k - $220k
Skills:
- 3-6+ years of relevant experience within the investment banking industry as an Analyst, Associate, and/or Vice President with a proven track record of working on complex executed deals across M&A and various industry sectors
- High level of motivation and commitment to working hard
- Ability to lead a team of analysts to deliver high quality products and advice to our clients
- Strong written and verbal communication, client, and interpersonal skills English & Spanish
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Organized, able to work with multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- Excellent analytical skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts to prepare, review, and analyze all aspects of a financing, including detailing financial modeling, due diligence process, credit analysis, credit approval process, among others
- Develop reporting memos and presentations, as applicable, for strategic meetings with clients regarding M&A or capital market transactions and internal approvals
- Lead and develop financial models to depict projected financial results, valuation, and merger consequences, as applicable
- Perform comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research
- Implement best practices for successful deal management and closing
- Identify opportunities of process improvements within the IB group
- Lead and participate in client meetings, due diligence visits, and any other client interactions needed. Lead transactions from pitch to close successfully
- Develop and mentor analysts within the IB group
- Provide strategic advice (capital structure advisory, financing schemes, and capital markets)
Education:
- BA required in relevant field Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics or related field
