Field Construction Engineer

Our client is looking for a FIELD CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise field construction activities to ensure they are
    completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality
    standards.
  • Ensure compliance with design, regulatory, and safety
    requirements.
  • Keep the project manager informed about the progress of
    construction.
  • Identify and resolve constructability issues and constraints
    through communication with job site workers, project
    managers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other field
    engineers to ensure the project is running smoothly.
  • Maintain detailed records of field activities, including
    inspections, computations, and test results.
  • Available to work on Saturdays if required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a field engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Overall knowledge of construction trades including earthwork, concrete works, and finishes.
  • Strong understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle crises.
  • Attention to Details. High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with a general contractor is preferred.

    Education and Training:

  • Education: A degree in engineering, construction
    management, architecture, or a related field is preferred.

PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire construction process.
  • Manage a team of workers and subcontractors.
  • Work with project managers and project engineers to determine project needs and timelines.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with the contract documents (drawings and specs).
  • Maintain a daily log of site operations and report to management, as necessary.
  • Make necessary changes to operations to meet construction
    deadlines and resolve on-site issues.
  • Responsible of allocating the right resources to comply with the project requirements.
  • Construction materials management.
  • Keep a safe construction site for all workers and subcontractors.
  • Available to work on Saturdays if required.

  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a construction superintendent or in a
    similar role.
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and
    materials.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage teams
    and resources effectively.
  • Ability to handle unexpected issues and make quick
    decisions.
  • A minimum of 10 years as a Construction Superintendent.
    Education and Training:
  • Education: A technical degree in construction or equivalent
    experience.
