Financial Analyst

Our client, a well establish Institution in Puerto Rico is hiring a financial
analyst
to support the financial operations and strategic decision-making.
This role oversees the daily operational tasks and ensures the accuracy
and integrity of the financial records. This role reports directly to the Finance Manager, and supports the financial performance and operational
efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial analysis for revenues and expenses vs budget
  • Analyze financial data considering the cash method vs accrual method
  • Create forecast scenarios considering both methodologies
  • Job cost analysis including forecast preparation to support decision-making processes
  • Cash management, supporting the monthly cash forecast
  • Prepare monthly financial reports by operational divisions, presenting key financial drivers of variances vs approved budget
  • Lead the month end closing process
  • Prepare balance sheets reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of the Annual Budget and Forecast Processes
  • Assist in the Annual financial audit and coordinate with external auditors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting
  • CPA /MBA a plus
  • Five plus year of financial analysis /accounting experience
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Management of cash basis and accrual basis methodologies
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting and forecasting
  • Fully Bilingual
