Our Client, Bluebanc, is looking for an Operations Manager 

Location: Puerto Rico (or willingness to relocate)

Salary range: $80k - $120k

Company Overview:

Bluebanc is a fast-growing fintech startup offering card issuing and banking-as-a-service (BaaS) solutions serving corporate clients. We provide scalable card issuing capabilities and bank accounts to clients such as media buyers, property management companies, and various types of agencies, allowing clients to open bank accounts for every company, project, ad campaign, employee, client, or contract they please.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operation Manger to lead and manage our operational strategy and execution. As a key member of the executive team, you will ensure that the operational side of the business is functioning smoothly while driving strategic initiatives. You will work closely with the CEO, taking ownership of a portion of company operations to ensure seamless execution and alignment with the companys strategic goals. You will also collaborate with the Head of Compliance to ensure regulatory alignment and operational efficiency. This candidate must have deep knowledge and hands-on experience in US payments, US transactions, and card issuing operations, with a proven track record of success in growing fintech environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Provide strategic guidance and operational leadership, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
• Oversee and manage the company's operations, including business development, coordination with banks and processors, customer service, and marketing and sales oversight.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the organization.
• Act as a key decision-maker in partnership with the CEO.
• Collaborate with the Head of Compliance to ensure the company remains compliant with all regulations and industry standards.
• Support business development efforts and account management functions, including working directly with clients and driving new business opportunities. 
• Cultivate relationships within the payments industry, bringing a strong network to support company growth. 
• Play a critical role in shaping the future direction of the company, both from a strategic and operational standpoint.
• Be willing to roll up your sleeves and get involved in various tasks and projects, from high-level strategy to hands-on execution.

Key Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in US payments, transactions, and card issuing.
• Ability to take initiative, solve problems, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Proven track record in leading operations within a fintech or financial services startup.
• Well-connected within the payments ecosystem, with a network that can be leveraged for strategic growth. 
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills
• Willingness to relocate to Puerto Rico or already be based here.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a COO or similar executive-level role.
• Strong knowledge of compliance in the payments space.
• Experience in business development and client management, with a hands-on approach to driving growth.
