Job Summary:

Solx is seeking an experienced Director of Manufacturing Operations, who will be responsible for all manufacturing and quality control operations at the companies Aguadilla facility. Candidates MUST HAVE advanced experience in high volume electronics manufacturing, including hands on technical capability. Reporting to the Chief Manufacturing Officer, you will play a critical role in
ensuring operational excellence, meeting production goals, and cultivating a workplace culture focused on safety, innovation, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all manufacturing operations to ensure the facility achieves production targets, quality standards, and operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement scalable operational strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with company goals.
• Drive a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental compliance throughout the facility.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing professionals to build a high- performing workforce.
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and continuously improve processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, HR, and leadership to align operations with overall business objectives.
• Optimize resources and implement technologies to ensure cost-effective production.
• Champion a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence across all operational functions.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (advanced degree preferred). 
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations leadership role, with at least 5 years in a senior position preferred.
• Proven experience in scaling operations and managing high-volume production environments.
• Deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong track record of driving efficiency, quality, and safety in manufacturing operations.
• Excellent leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of solar panel manufacturing or electronics assembly is a plus.
  

Skills and Competencies:

• Low ego.
  Advanced experience in high volume electronics manufacturing required, including technical capability and understanding.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) required.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook for operational reporting, analysis, and communication.
• Expertise in optimizing throughput performance.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability and performance excellence.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
