Our client, SOLX, is looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer. 

Job Overview:

The Manufacturing Process Engineer is involved in developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness, while also ensuring safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, production, and R&D, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve process issues.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Apply Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate production records and reports.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of assembly equipment and machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with certification requirements such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, AS9100, IEC 61215, IEC 61730, and UL 1703.
  • The role requires on-call support on a rotation schedule.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years experience in Manufacturing Process Engineering roles.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in solar module production or other high-volume electronics manufacturing.
  • Strong technical skills and experience with process optimization.
  • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and their application in manufacturing.
  • Effective communication and training abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software for data entry and reporting.
  • Preferred: Relevant certifications in quality management and process improvement, such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
