We are seeking a high-performing Maintenance Technician to join our team.This role is critical to maintaining operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on high-quality suture products. You will handle everything from routine preventative maintenance to complex electromechanical troubleshooting and emergency repairs. Beyond equipment maintenance, you will partner with engineering to support process improvements, equipment validations, and yield optimizations.

Responsibilities Include
- Machine Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance (PM) and rapid-response unplanned emergency repairs.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical control systems using prints, diagrams, and voltmeters.
- Safety Leadership: Strictly follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Engineering Support: Assist with equipment installations, component qualifications, validations, and the development of new manufacturing processes.
- Process Improvement: Monitor key process parameters to identify opportunities to reduce variation, improve scrap rates, and boost productivity.
- Facility Care: Provide interior and exterior building maintenance and assist in the management of maintenance documentation/programs.
- Production Operations: Run and operate fiber and suture yarn equipment; perform in-process testing to ensure quality standards.
- Documentation: Generate and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, and maintenance logs in compliance with GMP/ISO regulations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Technical High School diploma preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a manufacturing environment (or strong demonstrable equivalency).
- Industry Knowledge: Background in the Medical Device industry is required.
- Systems Experience: Familiarity working within controlled systems (ISO 9001/13485 or AS9100) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Technical Tools: Proficiency with hand and power tools, measuring devices, and voltmeters.
- Computer Literacy: Strong skills in Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
- Specialized Expertise: * Basic PLC troubleshooting (Preferred).
- Melt extrusion, textiles, or polymerization experience (Preferred).
- Machining, fabrication, and welding skills (Distinct Advantage).
- Flexibility: Must be able to work weekends, overtime, and be available for on-call shifts if necessary.
