We are immediately hiring a CNC Machinist for a direct-hire position, specializing in operating and setting up Haas Milling machines. The ideal candidate is a dedicated, detail-oriented individual who can ensure the production of high-quality parts that meet precise specifications.

Responsibilities include:

  • We are seeking a skilled and precise CNC Machinist / Machine Operator primarily focused on Haas Milling machines. This role requires strong technical ability to set up, operate, and perform quality checks to ensure optimal machine performance and product accuracy.
  • Operate and perform minor set-ups on Haas CNC Vertical Mills.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine production methods and specifications.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or material issues, adjusting settings as needed to ensure product quality.
  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure parts meet tolerance requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues or tooling problems during a run.
  • Complete production documentation and logs accurately and in a timely manner.

Compensation and Schedule

Pay: $30 - $33/hr+ depending on experience (DOE).

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with a shift from 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or potentially 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to operate and perform minor setups on CNC Milling machines (primarily Haas).
  • Strong knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints and utilizing GD&T.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
  • Solid understanding of standard machine shop practices, materials, and tooling.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on producing quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a production environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Education and Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience operating and setting up CNC milling machines is preferred.
  • We will entertain recent graduates from accredited machine training schools with relevant hands-on experience.
