We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lead Shipper to join our 1st shift shipping department team. This role is for a proactive and experienced individual who can manage shipping operations, with a strong emphasis on international logistics and customer service. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead and coordinate daily shipping operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Manage international shipping procedures, including documentation, customs forms, and compliance.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer service inquiries related to shipping, tracking, and delivery issues.
- Operate FedEx or UPS shipping software to process packages and generate labels.
- Handle and prepare shipments of hazardous materials or metal goods, if applicable.
- Perform start-up and shut-down procedures for shipping equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Complete necessary shipping documentation and reporting.
- Work effectively with team members and leadership to meet shipping goals.
Compensation:
Pay will be offered based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is required.
- Proven experience with international shipping and customs procedures.
- Strong proficiency with FedEx or UPS shipping software.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience with Hazardous Materials or metal shipping is a strong plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player.
