The Accounts payable accounts receiveable Specialist plays a vital role in managing the organization's daily financial workflows. 

Serving as a key accounting clerk, this position handles Accounts payable accounts receiveable operations, accurately prepares journal entries, and reviews financial statements including the P&L. Utilizing tools such as quickbooks, the role ensures accurate job costing across projects while handling routine quickbooks entries and maintaining detailed job costing logs.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage Accounts payable accounts receiveable tasks, including processing invoices and handling collection notices.
  • Serve as a primary accounting clerk responsible for creating accurate journal entries and maintaining general ledger records.
  • Maintain accounting records in quickbooks to track vendor transactions, project expenses, and overall job costing.
  • Review income statements and P&L reports to assist management with financial analysis.
  • Code expenses, perform account reconciliations, and log standard journal entries promptly.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure accurate cost allocation.
  • Obtain proper approval for invoices and ensure compliance with company financial policies.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, expense reports, and employee credit card allocations.
  • Assist with month-end closing, P&L reporting, and external audit inquiries.
  • Perform other finance duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an accounting clerk or in a related finance position.
  • Deep understanding of Accounts payable accounts receiveable principles and general ledger management.
  • High proficiency in quickbooks and Microsoft Excel for tracking expenses and financial reports.
  • Experience posting journal entries and evaluating balance sheets and P&L statements.
  • Understanding of job costing methods to track project profitability and vendor expenses effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively.
