We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Estimator to support our outside sales team and oversee key project workflows. In this role, you will analyze specifications, utilize AutoCAD, manage project estimates, and deliver exceptional customer service. Working closely with internal teams and manufacturing departments, you will prepare accurate quotes, handle material counts, and ensure smooth operations from concept through completion using tools like Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide internal support for outside sales managers to ensure efficient project lifecycle management.
  • Review CAD files, AutoCAD drawings, and technical specifications to calculate material dimensions and hardware counts.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimating reports, bill of materials (BOM), and sales proposals.
  • Serve as a primary customer service liaison for client inquiries, quotes, and issue resolution when sales leads are unavailable.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and production leads to communicate customer feedback, monitor lead times, and coordinate rush orders.
  • Act as an internal project manager on major accounts to track progress, raise recommendations, and align internal departments.
  • Create custom installation instructions and documentation using cad tools as needed.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience with estimating, proposal generation, or equivalent functions.
  • Hands-on experience using AutoCAD or other cad drafting software.
  • 1–2 years of proven customer service and direct client interaction experience.
  • Proficiency in data entry and calculations using Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a project manager, multi-task, prioritize deadlines, and manage complex schedules.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; strong math, measurement calibration, and unit conversion skills.
  • Familiarity with product assembly and manufacturing workflows.
