About the job Welder

We are seeking a motivated Welder to join our operational team 100% onsite. In this role, you will assist in joining, fabricating, and repairing custom assemblies made from standard and specialty metals. Working in a fast-paced Manufacturing environment, you will operate various production tools, build proficiency in GTAW and GMAW processes, and gain hands-on experience in precision metal joining.

Competitive Pay: Compensation is determined by candidate experience, education, certifications, and specific job-related skills. $24- $32/hr+ depending on position and experience and shift.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Gain proficiency operating shop equipment to assemble structural components and perform precision Welding tasks based on job specifications.
  • Assist with setting up, adjusting, and maintaining specialized equipment, including MIG and TIG power sources.
  • Execute clean structural seams using standard ARC equipment and specialized wire feeders.
  • Assist in fabricating and assembling component parts, custom fixtures, and shop equipment.
  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints and drawings to determine exact joint geometry and assembly requirements for structural metals.
  • Perform quality checks visually and dimensionally using precision measuring tools to ensure parts conform to strict engineering tolerances.
  • Maintain an orderly, clean work area while strictly adhering to all company safety protocols and Manufacturing procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant hands-on experience working with various metals, including exotic alloys.
  • Basic familiarity with core joint setup and manual Welding techniques.
  • Physical ability to work 100% onsite in a dynamic production environment.

Preferred:

  • Professional Welding certification from an accredited institution.
  • Direct setup or operational experience with GTAW (precision tungsten processes) and GMAW (wire-feed systems).
  • Working knowledge of stick/manual ARC processes, alongside manual MIG and TIG techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability in fabricating structural assemblies using shop geometry and basic trigonometry.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document workflow and routine reports.
  • Strong mathematical capabilities and reading comprehension for technical instructions, procedure manuals, and blueprints.
  • Solid understanding of quality standards within modern Manufacturing.
