About the job Production Supervisor
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and have a proven track record in supervising production operations within a manufacturing facility or warehouse setting. This role is critical in ensuring efficient assembly line processes, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a safe working environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervise daily production activities and manage workflow on the assembly line to meet production goals.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members on the proper use of hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while promoting a culture of safety among staff.
- Monitor equipment performance, conduct regular inspections, and coordinate maintenance as needed.
- Assist in the fabrication of products by overseeing assembly processes and ensuring quality control measures are met.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on performance to upper management.
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet company goals and deadlines.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to maximize efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including inventory, downtime, and equipment usage.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime and ensure quality.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for increased efficiency and cost savings.
Skills/Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various types of machinery, including forklifts.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members at all levels of the organization.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
- Prior experience in the chemical industry is required.
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, including safety protocols and quality control.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for production tracking and reporting.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or managerial certifications are a plus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.

Pay: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour
