About the job Maintenance Manager
We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team and oversee all aspects of equipment and facility maintenance within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machine experience, along with a proven track record of building and managing maintenance strategies, leading teams, and implementing preventative maintenance programs. Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive maintenance strategy to ensure optimal equipment uptime and reliability.
- Lead and manage a team of 10 maintenance technicians, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Build and implement a robust preventative maintenance (PM) program to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Develop and deliver training programs for new and existing maintenance technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
- Manage the maintenance budget effectively, ensuring cost-efficiency and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with production and other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruption to operations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the maintenance department.
- Oversee the procurement of necessary maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and generate reports as required.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest maintenance technologies and best practices.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a senior maintenance leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery and systems.
- Demonstrated success in building and managing comprehensive maintenance strategies.
- Proven ability to lead and effectively manage a team of maintenance technicians.
- Strong experience in developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
- Practical application and understanding of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience in developing and delivering technical training programs.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software (CMMS) is a plus.
