We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join our 2nd shift team in precision manufacturing. In this role, you will perform visual and mechanical inspection on precision parts using tools like calipers, micrometers, and other advanced equipment during part assembly and processing. Whether you are an experienced Quality Inspector or looking to expand your technical skills, this position offers hands-on training across complex manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities Include

  • Locate datums and aging points on castings, forgings, and components.
  • Perform mechanical and electronic inspection on production parts, sub-assemblies, and details to verify layout accuracy and machining correctness.
  • Mark guidelines and reference points indicating material to be removed manually, by machining, or through etching.
  • Conduct floor and machine inspection on vertical boring mills, radial drills, laser machines, water jets, and lathes.
  • Perform bench inspection of machined rings, spinnings, forgings, castings, sub-assemblies, and completed assembly units.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection of welds prior to fluorescent penetrant testing.
  • Write detailed rework procedures when non-conforming parts are identified.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Required: 0–2 years of related experience.
  • Required: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Required: Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and blueprints.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before employees in the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Demonstrate a good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills in standardized situations.
  • Skilled in using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, scribes, height gages, depth gages, cylindrical plugs, thread gages, PI tapes, decimal scales, indicators, fixtures, coordinate measuring machines, and other automated measuring devices.
  • Physical Requirements: Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment. Must be able to frequently sit, stand, and walk; lift and carry up to 15 pounds; and have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
