We're Hiring: Rate Sheet Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Rate Sheet Specialist with a strong background in Ocean Freight and Trucking/Inland Transportation. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience preparing freight quotations, negotiating rates with carriers and agents, and managing the end-to-end pricing process for international shipments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain customer quotations for ocean freight and inland trucking services.
  • Create, update, and manage ocean and trucking rate sheets.
  • Read, interpret, and convert carrier and trucking/inland rate sheets into customer-friendly pricing formats.
  • Coordinate with internal sales and operations teams to ensure pricing accuracy and service feasibility.
  • Monitor market trends and carrier pricing to maintain competitive
  • freight rates.
  • Maintain organized records of contracts, tariffs, and customer-specific pricing.
  • Handle RFQs (Request for Quotations) from customers and provide timely, accurate, and competitive pricing.
  • Negotiate freight rates with shipping lines, carriers, overseas agents, and logistics partners.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Freight Pricing, Rate Sheets, Quotations, or a similar role within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
  • Strong experience handling customer RFQs and preparing freight quotations.
  • Proven experience negotiating freight rates with shipping lines, carriers, and overseas agents.
  • Solid understanding of Ocean Freight (FCL/LCL) and Trucking/Inland Transportation pricing.
  • Knowledge of the end-to-end international shipping process, from the origin port to the destination port.
  • Strong understanding of shipping terms, Incoterms (EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP, etc.), and international freight documentation.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and convert ocean freight and trucking/inland rate sheets accurately.
  • Familiarity with common freight surcharges and accessorial charges.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data management
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple quotations in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with freight forwarding software or Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Experience supporting the US or international freight forwarding market.
  • Knowledge of import/export documentation and customs processes is an advantage.

  • Full-time role following the Israeli time zone

Rate:

  • USD 4 per hour
