About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and scale high-performing, globally distributed software engineering teams. In this role, you will be responsible for people leadership, delivery excellence, and technical stewardship, while partnering closely with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to build reliable, scalable, and impactful software products.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing global software teams, driving execution in remote-first environments, and fostering a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop globally distributed software engineering teams across multiple time zones.

  • Own team execution and delivery: planning, estimation, prioritization, and on-time release of high-quality software.

  • Partner with Product Management to translate business requirements into clear technical plans and milestones.

  • Establish and continuously improve engineering processes, best practices, and delivery standards.

  • Drive architectural and technical decisions in collaboration with senior engineers and architects.

  • Ensure high standards of code quality, security, performance, and scalability.

  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning for team members.

  • Hire, onboard, and retain top engineering talent globally.

  • Promote a strong engineering culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

  • Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly to stakeholders and leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in an engineering management or team leadership role.

  • Proven experience managing and scaling global or distributed software engineering teams.

  • Strong understanding of modern software development practices, including Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, and cloud-native architectures.

  • Solid technical background enabling effective decision-making, code reviews, and architectural discussions.

  • Experience delivering complex software products in a remote-first or hybrid environment.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance technical depth with people management and business priorities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, QA, DevOps).

  • Prior experience in SaaS, platform, or large-scale consumer-facing applications.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

  • Experience leading teams across different cultures and regions.
