The ideal candidate will oversee the brand's overall operations and growth strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives. This role requires a strong background in retail management, strategic planning, and operational execution.

Job Opening:

We seek a General Manager to join our client's retail company in Istanbul. This role will involve developing and implementing growth strategies, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring financial and strategic objectives are achieved. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in retail management, with a proven ability to drive growth and manage large-scale operations.

Qualifications:

Please take note of the following requirements for the candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Preferably with an MBA or Master's degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in retail management, with extensive experience in a senior management role, including personal responsibility for the company's EBITDA.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful growth strategies in the retail sector.
  • Extensive experience managing large-scale retail operations, including multiple sales channels such as department stores, franchise stores, and direct retail.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and performance metrics.
  • Experience in working with executive committees and the board of directors.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement brand growth strategies, focusing on domestic and international markets.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across all retail activities.
  • Collaborate with the executive committee and board of directors to align on strategic goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and present strategic plans, financial reports, and growth projections to the board of directors.
  • Manage the budgeting process and work closely with the finance team to develop and monitor budgets.
  • Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies to drive brand growth and customer engagement.
  • Ensure the effective management of all sales channels, including department stores, franchise stores, and direct retail.
  • Develop and maintain solid relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and suppliers.
  • Oversee the recruitment, development, and performance management of the retail team.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and challenges.
