The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a market leading freight forwarder. This is a highly consultative, and solution based sales role. You would be able to work with SME customers, as well as big ticket corporate clients, across a variety of industries. Our client is looking to bring in, well established and seasoned freight sales professionals into the team who still has an open mind to learning new techniques and grow and develop, as an individual. The role involves working on new data/leads and then entering key information into the system by identifying and qualifying, new leads and converting those into the sales in accordance to process. Our client offers a world class and bespoke logistics solution, so the ideal candidate is someone who is confident and adaptable with a keen eye for a sales opportunity.
The Person
The right candidate will ideally be experinced in the Freight Forwarding industry and have a track record of excellence. The person will be organised with a keen eye for sales, as well as accountability in the administrative duties required for the role. An excellent communicator who can work to tight deadlines and proficient using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook with the adaptability to learn new systems. Someone who has that Sales mentality or wanting to begin a career in Sales
- 3 years experience and good working knowledge of freight forwarding services, including ocean (NVOCC) and air freight
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- A problem solver
- A unique combination of good interpersonal and communications/presentation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills"

- Up to $80,000 - $120,000 Salary DOE + Commission + Bonus
