Senior Manager, Energy Markets and Commercial Projects

Our client is a leading private renewable energy company in Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities:

• Energy Markets:
  • Provide daily offers and schedules for hydroelectric facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO/RTO market requirements.
  • Participate in market stakeholder processes and provide updates.
  • Maintain relationships with counterparties and fulfill reporting requirements.
  • Monitor financial and operational performance of portfolio facilities.
• Commercial Projects:
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decisions.
  • Source and negotiate power purchase agreements and contracts.
  • Lead teams to execute optimization initiatives and evaluate acquisitions.
  • Assist with integrating new acquisitions into the company's platform.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field, or relevant Masters degree.
• Two years of experience in financial modeling and power markets.
• Two years of experience with ISO/RTO power markets.
• Previous asset management and/or energy trading experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of energy economics and North American power markets.
• Familiarity with energy industry regulatory environment.
• Experience with flexible power generation resources.
