About the job Business Development Manager (Retail)
The Business Development Manager will be in charge of identifying opportunities for Offline expansion through site review and acquisition alongside the actual construction of the stores. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the stores are compliant with the visual playbook and fully reflective of the brand DNA through the onboarding, monitoring and evaluation of partner suppliers. They will also be responsible for maintaining relationships through our partner developers and malls as well as facilitating the lease negotiations, agreements and renewals.
Responsibilities:
- Identifies and recommends distribution points in alignment with Offline Retails overall strategy.
- Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with malls and developers as we continue to grow the edamama brand as we enter and expand into key communities.
- In charge of facilitating all lease negotiations and provides visibility to the team in terms of renewals and other particulars.
- Negotiates and handles partner suppliers and contractors in building the edamama stand-alone stores and ensures that all deliverables are on time and in accordance with the visual playbook and edamama’s standard of excellence.
- Ensures stores’ compliance with local government permit requirements.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in a similar role
Strong communication and leadership skills
Incredibly organized and excellent time management skills
- Possesses a hunger for success and strong motivation to achieve committed targets and timelines
- Excellent eye for detail and strict adherence to standards of excellence
Engineering or Architectural background would be an advantage
- Mobile and able to move throughout the city as work will require frequent visits to malls and new developments
