As our Senior Finance Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in steering our financial ship. You’ll oversee our financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, planning, and compliance. We’re looking for a hands-on leader who’s passionate about finance and has a knack for turning numbers into insights.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall oversight of the Finance team and function, including financial planning & analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, controls, accounting, treasury, and taxation.
- Oversee accounts, books closing, AP/AR, preparation of periodic financials, and regular reporting to company management and board.
- Act as a business partner to key organizational functions (marketing, category management, operations, etc. to help them evaluate issues through a financial lens.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization, i.e. improve financial controls, evaluate project and departmental budgets/forecasts, run cost-benefit analysis, etc.
- Lead financial presentations and P&L reviews with the company's board and shareholders.
- Ensure statutory compliances - VAT, income tax, payroll management, and liaise with consultants and auditors as required for statutory audits, return filings, etc.
- Coordinate banking and treasury activities for smooth cash flow management.
- Implement financial controls - finalize budgets, set up controls and monitoring mechanisms across the organization, and track variance and adherence to SOPs.
- Oversee the legal requirements of the Company and its affiliates and ensure these are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
- Serve as key liaison with the Company’s (and its affiliates) legal counsel and corporate secretary on legal, contractual, and corporate matters.
- Ensure the Company’s compliance as it relates to legal and regulatory requirements, such as permits, approvals, audits, etc.
- The Employee is expected to work and be available during their normal contractual work and work week. The employee may be required by the Company to report to work onsite on certain days of the week, depending on business/operations needs and/or management prerogatives.
Qualifications:
Ideally 10 years of work experience (or more)
Preferably a Certified Public Accountant
Retail/e-commerce experience is a must, preferably both
Experience in Big 4 audits (SGV, KPMG, PWC, etc)
- Financial reporting expertise, including inventory audit/controls knowledge
- Finance Operations oversight (A/R, A/P, cash management, accounting, tax)
- Strong people management background with proficiency in prioritizing and delegating a high volume of tasks
- Experience with the consolidation of the books of operating subsidiaries
- Tax and regulatory compliance exposure, eg dealing with BIR for audits, etc
- Experience with implementing processes and systems, eg ERP or similar (eg automating admin tasks)
- Interest in working in a startup and building, ability to deliver results in a less structured environment and not be phased by rapidly evolving priorities
- Willingness to work in our Makati office on a hybrid work set-up with the possibility of full onsite work
