We are a leading global financial institution and a major name in European banking. Our Excellence Center in Porto is looking for a Technical Support Specialist with a strong background in automotive mechanics to join our specialized fleet management and insurance team.

In this role, you do more than just answer questions; you are the technical expert for our Spanish-speaking clients. You will use your hands-on mechanical experience to review repairs, settle technical claims, and ensure the highest quality of automotive service.

Strategic Mandate: Core Responsibilities

You will act as the technical authority, making sure every vehicle repair is fair in price and mechanically correct.

  • Technical Validation: Review and approve repair costs and maintenance requests from auto shops across the Spanish market.
  • Expert Consulting: Provide high-level advice to clients and partners about complex vehicle mechanics and maintenance rules.
  • Claim Management: Manage technical claims from start to finish, ensuring they are cost-effective and meet all safety standards.
  • Language Mediation: Use your bilingual skills to close the communication gap between international partners in Spanish and Portuguese.
  • Process Improvement: Identify technical trends and suggest ways to make the service workflow better.

Who We Are Looking For: Mechanical Knowledge & Language Skills

We want a professional who can bring their real-world workshop experience into a corporate office with precision.

  • Automotive Expertise (Required): You must have solid, hands-on experience as an Automotive Mechanic. You need a deep understanding of vehicle parts, repair times, and how workshops operate.
  • Language Skills:

    • Spanish: Native or C1 level (Essential).
    • Portuguese: B2 to C1 level (Required for working with the local team).
  • Education: At least a High School diploma (12th grade) or a specialized technical certificate in automotive engineering.
  • Sharp Thinking: The ability to analyze technical diagrams and financial estimates with great attention to detail.
  • Communication: A problem-solving attitude combined with a professional, customer-focused approach.
