We are a fast-growing PropTech startup (11–50 employees) headquartered in Berlin, specializing in energy-efficient renovations for multi-family residential buildings. Our mission is to seamlessly bridge the gap between the physical construction site and digital dashboards. We take full ownership of our projects—from initial planning to execution—delivering smart processes, fixed pricing, strict deadlines, and highly reliable implementation.

Backed by major industry investors (including Vonovia and Revent), we are scaling our team and looking for a driven Construction Manager to lead our projects in the Hamburg region.

Tasks & Responsibilities

As a Construction Manager, you will take full ownership of our local construction sites, ensuring high standards of quality, transparency, and timely delivery:

• Technical & Visual Quality Control: Ensure that all executed work strictly aligns with execution plans, specifications, and our company's high-quality standards.
• Trade Coordination: Coordinate daily with subcontractors on-site to actively prevent roadblocks, conflicts, and construction delays.
• Timeline Monitoring: Keep a close eye on daily and weekly on-site workflows to guarantee adherence to the master project schedule.
• Site Inspections & Reporting: Conduct weekly on-site walkthroughs, documenting progress comprehensively through written logs and detailed photo documentation.
• Defect Management: Identify, log, and track any defects caused by subcontractors, and strictly monitor deadlines for their resolution.
• Digital Documentation: Manage all protocols and visual data digitally via modern project management tools to ensure full transparency of the construction status at all times.

Your Profile

• Education: A degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a comparable technical qualification.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of solid professional experience in construction management, ideally with a strong focus on building renovation, refurbishment, or structural engineering (Hochbau).
• Tech-Stack: High digital literacy. You are confident using Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, etc.) alongside modern project management/control software, and you enjoy driving digital innovation in construction.
• Communication: Business-fluent or native German skills (C1/C2) with a confident, assertive, and professional communication style when dealing with various project stakeholders.
• Mindset: A strong hands-on mentality, entrepreneurial thinking, and the willingness to take full ownership of your projects. You thrive in a young, dynamic company where you can actively shape processes.
• Mobility: Valid driver's license and the flexibility to commute to local site visits regularly.
