🛑 Mandatory Candidate Requirements

- Airline Revenue Accounting Experience: Extensive, verifiable experience at a Team Leader, Supervisor, or similar management level within the Revenue Accounting department of an Airline Company.
- People Management: Demonstrated success in personnel management, including the supervision, training, coaching, and performance evaluation of an accounting team. Management experience is essential.
- Communication Skills: C2 or Native-level fluency in English is required for professional written and verbal communication.
📋 Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Revenue Accounting Manager, the Assistant Manager will oversee the daily operations and strategic output of the team.
1. Team Management and Operations
- Lead, inspire, and manage the team of Revenue Accountants, promoting high standards of compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Organize, delegate, and review the team's workflow to guarantee all daily, weekly, and month-end tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and one-on-one sessions, identifying developmental needs and supporting team growth.
2. Core Revenue Functions
- Oversee the complete accounting lifecycle for all airline income streams (e.g., passenger sales, cargo, ancillary products, and excess baggage).
- Ensure accurate adherence to complex accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) regarding revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and breakage.
- Manage and quality-control processes like proration and interline billing (e.g., IATA SIS), strictly complying with IATA regulations and bilateral agreements.
- Direct and review essential reconciliations, including matching passenger sales data with banking records, General Ledger accounts, and other related systems.
3. Financial Control, Auditing, and Reporting
- Manage the month-end and year-end revenue close process, ensuring all necessary journal entries, deferrals, and accruals are prepared, reviewed, and posted according to the schedule.
- Maintain and enhance a robust framework of internal controls over the revenue cycle to protect assets and guarantee reliable financial reporting.
- Serve as the main point of contact during internal and external audits, providing required documentation and resolving all queries promptly.
- Generate comprehensive reports for senior management, offering insights into revenue performance, key variances, and underlying trends.
4. Process and Systems Improvement
- Work collaboratively with IT and finance systems teams to ensure revenue accounting systems are optimally configured and running efficiently.
- Champion initiatives to automate processes and enhance efficiency within the department, boosting data processing speed and accuracy.
