About the job German Speaking Health Technical Product Manager (Remote)
Health Technical Product Manager (m/f/d)
Location: Fully Remote (Germany)
Industry: HealthTech / B2B SaaS
Compensation: €60,000 – €90,000 + equity package
Languages Required: Professional German (C1) & English (C1)
About the Role & Mission
We develop smart AI tooling that strips away the administrative workload for psychotherapists, allowing them to dedicate their energy entirely to patient care and clinical outcomes.
As our inaugural Health Technical Product Manager, you will hold complete operational ownership of our clinical and administrative software suite. Working remotely from anywhere in Germany, you will navigate the intersection of frontier large language models, mental health workflows, and medical device compliance (EU MDR). Working alongside our founders, CTO, clinical scientists, and product designers, you will drive candidate research, draft specs, create quality frameworks, and scale new product lines from concept to launch.
What You Will Do
- Product Leadership: Oversee product discovery, technical requirements, sprint priorities, and feature adoption across a remote software delivery pipeline.
- Roadmap Strategy: Map out and communicate our product vision, making smart trade-offs between expanding existing systems and building new capabilities.
- Practitioner Research: Shadow therapists, analyze documentation workflows, and participate in user interviews to convert clinical friction points into structured product specs.
- AI Evaluation & Quality: Partner with engineering and clinical research teams to define performance benchmarks for generated clinical notes, turning them into evaluation datasets and test suites.
- Technical Specs & Prototyping: Draft unambiguous functional requirements, map out edge-case failures, and leverage modern AI tools to prototype solutions independently.
- Embedded Regulatory Compliance: Bake EU MDR and SaMD requirements into initial feature specs, aligning product iterations with clinical evaluation and risk protocols.
- Release & Iterate: Partner with product marketing and sales to deploy updates, track clinical usage, and iterate continuously on therapist feedback.
What We Are Looking For
Must-Haves:
- 4+ years of Product Management experience in B2B software where success depended on solving hard architectural and functional product challenges.
- Proven record in complex, regulated domains: Track record of shipping software in intricate settings like HealthTech, MedTech, or heavily regulated markets. You know how to harmonize strict regulatory frameworks (EU MDR), specialist workflows (therapists), rigorous quality requirements, and technical AI capabilities.
- Practical LLM knowledge: Solid operational understanding of LLM systems, including prompt design, model benchmarking, edge-case failure modes, and production reliability.
- Asynchronous Communication: Exceptional written clarity when producing specs, problem briefs, and decision logs for a distributed team.
- Execution Focus: A hands-on builder who writes specs, builds test cases, and personally validates AI outputs against clinical standards.
- Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in both German (C1) and English (C1).
- Location: Based in Germany with full eligibility for remote work.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Hands-on experience with medical device software frameworks (EU MDR, IEC 62304).
- Professional background or academic training in psychology, psychotherapy, or clinical healthcare.
- Experience deploying generative AI models or building evaluation pipelines for LLMs in production.
- Founding PM experience or a track record of setting up product management practices from 0 to 1.
Core Values & Mindset
- User Empathy: Deep respect for mental health professionals, focusing on tools that simplify practice rather than add noise.
- Data Integrity: Strict adherence to data privacy, confidentiality, and safety when handling sensitive patient information.
- Engineering Excellence: Commitment to medical accuracy and technical reliability over vanity features.
- High Ownership: Strong self-direction, initiative, and personal accountability in a fully remote environment.
What We Offer
- Founding Impact: High-autonomy role reporting directly to the founders and CTO as our first PM hire.
- Meaningful Purpose: Directly reduce practitioner burnout and restore time for high-quality care.
- Cutting-Edge Learning: Deep exposure to state-of-the-art LLM development, clinical research, and medical regulation.
- Agile Execution: Flat team hierarchy where ideas transition into live production code within days.
- Flexible Perks: 100% remote flexibility within Germany, 28 paid vacation days, competitive salary (€60,000 – €90,000), and startup equity.
