Key Responsibilities & Opportunities
We will mainly ask you to:
Be responsible for food and plant-based meat preparation, with the director's support
Lead the service, while coordinating the operative kitchen team
Ensure consistent product quality, focusing on superior taste and smart presentation
Contribute to menu development by bringing creative, actionable recipe ideas to life
Maintain product quality, focusing on superior taste and smart presentation
Support and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring their growth and development within the team
Ensure smooth daily operations by collaborating with the kitchen team
Deliver our proprietary plant-based meat to our client restaurants in Antwerp
Lead and/or conduct free food sampling, to engage and attract restaurant clients
Follow hygiene, safety, and sanitation regulations, keeping the kitchen safe and compliant
If desired, you will have the opportunity to:
Propose and test new ideas that enhance the kitchen's workflow and food quality
Engage in and learn within products sourcing negotiations and supplier relations
Collaborate with the director to optimize recipes in line with food cost objectives
Contribute to content creation for our online presence in ideation, definition and execution
Your Expertise
2+ years of experience as a Chef de Partie, Line Chef or in a similar role
You are eligible to legally work in Antwerp
You have sharp attention to detail while keeping the bigger picture in mind
You have speed and pragmatism in handling day-to-day kitchen operations
You have a professional approach suitable for working in an open kitchen environment
You have the enthusiasm to thrive in a startup setting, where flexibility and adaptability are key
You have a collaborative mindset and are willing to work as a part of a team
You have the ability to balance hard work with a sense of fun, knowing when to push and to enjoy the moment
You are genuinely interested in exploring and evolving within the role
