Key Responsibilities & Opportunities
We will mainly ask you to:
- Assist in food preparation under the guidance of senior staff
- Ensure consistency in following recipes and procedures
- Assemble and plate our delicious vegan meals
- Maintain product quality, focusing on superior taste and smart presentation
- Be open to growth and development within the team
- Ensure smooth daily operations by collaborating with the kitchen team
- Deliver our proprietary plant-based meat to our client restaurants in Antwerp
- Lead and/or conduct free food sampling, to engage and attract restaurant clients
- Follow hygiene, safety, and sanitation regulations, keeping the kitchen safe and compliant
If you desire you will have the opportunity to:
- Contribute to menu development by bringing creative, actionable recipe ideas to life
- Propose and test new ideas that enhance the kitchen's workflow and food quality
- Collaborate with the director to optimize recipes in line with food cost objectives
- Contribute to content creation for our online presence in ideation, definition and execution
Your Expertise
- You have at least 6 months of experience as Commis, Junior Chef or any similar role
- You are eligible to legally work in Antwerp
- You have a sharp attention to detail, whilst keeping the bigger picture in mind
- You have the enthusiasm to thrive in a startup setting, where flexibility and adaptability are key
- You have a collaborative mindset and are willing to work as a part of a team
- You have the ability to balance hard work with a sense of fun, knowing when to push and to enjoy the moment
- You are genuinely interested in exploring and evolving within the role
