About the job Entry Level Administrative Assistant (Remote)
As the Administrative Assistant the selected hire will aid: General office communications, budget monitoring, applicant management, event scheduling, marketing online and on campus, and other duties as needed. Flexible hours depending on schedule.
Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited institution with a Bachelors degree related to the Summary of Duties OR any combination of education and/or experience totaling four years.
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge:
- Knowledge and experience working in an education or office environment.
- Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of University budgets and indexes.
Skills:
- Skills in the use of computers and computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, and databases.
- Skills in office methods, techniques, practices and procedures.
- Skills in organization, database management and coordination.
- Skills in records management.
- Skills in professional correspondence preparation.
- Skills in scheduling.
Abilities:
- Ability to perform a variety of administrative support duties with minimum supervision.
- Ability to meet and work with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
- Ability to follow verbal and written procedures and instructions.
- Ability to compose and edit written materials.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of 25 Live, Argos reporting, Qualtrics and/or other UVU utilized systems.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to function in an office environment. May be required to lift up to 25 ibs.
Benefits Summary
You may be eligible to receive a tuition waiver for one class after 6 consecutive months of employment and a minimum of 480 hours worked. Dependents do not qualify for a waiver.
