About the job Remote Administrative Assistant
As a Administrative Assistant within the South Atlantic Water Science Center, some of your specific duties will includes:
- Monitors and tracks obligations and expenditures within the budget execution phase.
- Verifies that obligations and expenditures occur on a timely basis in accordance with the financial plan and regulatory controls, and are within amounts obligated.
- Assists in the compilation of selected administrative support requirements information pertaining to needs and cost trends of payroll, travel, supplies, and training.
- Participates in basic developmental work efforts in support of mail and file services, travel, records and reports, vehicle management, and related services.
- Performs limited analyses of organizational elements including such functions such as overtime cost, telecommunications requirements, word processing systems, duplicating equipment, and work distribution.
- Operates a government owned or leased vehicle as an incidental driver.

- You will be required to operate a government-owned or -leased vehicle in the performance of your official duties. Applicants for this position must meet the following requirements: (1) possess a valid State license, and (2) possess a safe driving record. If selected, you will be required to provide proof of a valid State license & a copy of your driving record.
- A background investigation will be required for this position. Continued employment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication. Failure to successfully meet these requirements will be grounds for termination.
