Chief Accountant

Our client is a leading company with over 30 years of experience in developing and manufacturing electronics and electromechanical products. We are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of accountants, overseeing daily operations.
• Conduct training to keep the accounting teams skills and knowledge up to date.
• Plan, control, and implement the annual budgeting process.
• Supervise the preparation of profit and cash flow forecasts, analyses, and reports.
• Oversee the preparation of quarterly management and year-end accounts.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly management reports, ensuring timely completion (including KPI reports, budget variance analysis, statistical data, and trends).
• Coordinate between different sections within the department to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
• Collaborate with external auditors and prepare documentation for tax audits.
• Conduct accounting audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Act as a trusted financial partner to senior management teams and subsidiary finance teams.
• Provide accurate and timely financial information to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure all accounting tasks and transactions are completed on time.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Chief Accountant position.
• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Excellent knowledge of the Accounting Act, National Accounting Standards (NAS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and other relevant regulations.
• Experience in leading a team of accountants.
• Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, financial analysis, and investment project evaluation.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Proficiency in German is considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems is required.
