Our Risk Management Team is looking for experienced professionals to join us in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in the role of Junior Risk Officer

In this role, you will manage the bank's risk by monitoring risks, preparing reports for committees, and ensuring policy compliance. You'll develop risk management policies and frameworks, offer training and development for staff, and regularly assess compliance with regulations. Additionally, your focus will include enhancing customer experience by maintaining high service standards and implementing recognition programs for excellent service..

What the role will entail 

  • Oversee risk management by monitoring key risks, preparing reports for bank committees, estimating risks quantitatively and qualitatively, and ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. 
  • Develop and review risk management policies and procedures, integrating risk responses into business processes, and maintaining tools and policies for effective risk management across the bank. 
  • Manage the Risk Model Framework, including developing risk models and management tools, ensuring effective implementation of the Risk Management Framework, and periodically testing the predictive ability of risk models. 
  • Focus on people development through training programs, role-specific development plans, and engaging experts to assess the bank's risk management capabilities, alongside ensuring appropriate systems and technology are in place for effective risk management. 
  • Maintain good risk governance by regularly assessing compliance with regulations and risk controls, actively participate in bank committees, and continuously review and adapt to evolving business strategies and external environments. 
  • Enhance customer experience by delivering consistent services as per SLAs, installing recognition programs for exceptional service, and clearly defining service expectations. 

What were looking for  

  • At least college graduate in business-related course or other relevant course, Finance (includes Accounting), Statistics, or Mathematics is preferred. 
  • At least 2 to 8 years (depends on the job grade) of relevant banking experience, 
  • Proficient in data and analytics tools: Excel, VBA, R, SAS, Python, Power BI 
  • Experience in building and leading a team, especially for higher job grades. 
  • Skilled in coaching and mentoring others, as well as developing team members in higher-level roles. 
  • Ability to create and implement business and strategic plans effectively. 
  • Comfortable interacting with diverse individuals and capable of learning and applying new skills swiftly. 
  • Proficient in managing multiple functions and operating efficiently in high-pressure situations. 
  • Experienced in overseeing corporate-wide processes and presenting to boards of directors and senior leaders for higher job grades. 
  • Capable of resolving difficult conflicts and working effectively in fast-paced environments. 
  • For roles assumed later, experience with cross-functional projects, managing large projects, and working in or managing within a matrix organization, particularly for higher job grades.
