Head, Data Privacy Officer (DPO)

JOB PURPOSE:

• Ensure that the Banks processes around personal data of data subjects are compliant with the applicable data protection rules and regulations
• Lead the delivery of data privacy programs.
• Lead the Banks compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead in the development of the data privacy policy, procedures, and framework
• Lead in the identification of data protection controls required to address data privacy gaps
• Actively participate in the development of Risk Management Framework to support the Banks Data Privacy (DP) and Information Security Management
• Collaborate with the Business Units (BUs) governance officers to carry out the Privacy Impact Assessment, maintenance of the DP Framework and Breach Notification and reporting
• Review and enhance contracts and help identify gaps in the data privacy provisions
• Lead resolution of requests and complaints sent by employees and customers and identify actions required to resolve such requests and issues in coordination with the different process owners in the organization.
• Maintain a repository of all DP breaches and conduct regular analysis of the incidents and recommend process improvements
