Business Analyst

Job Purpose:

• Acts as a liaison between IT and business units for the development and/or enhancement of systems and technology components 
• Identifies, reviews, evaluates and documents both articulated and unarticulated business and systems requirements 
• Prepares functional specifications and gap analyses that guide the development of solutions to address business requirements 
• Orchestrates among technical and non-technical Subject Matter Experts (SME) in order to come up with a solution recommendation and/or alternatives

Educational Requirement:

Bachelors Degree or Post Graduate Qualification in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Finance and Business Management

Relevant Work Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in at least two IT disciplines such as Applications Development, Project Management, Quality Assurance, Production Support and Service Management, or at least 5 years of experience in the business disciplines of Risk Management, Audit, Business Process Formulation/Operationalization and Governance, with sensitivity and commitment to solving business problems  
• At least 1 year of demonstrated competency in a business analyst role involving a large project (at least 3 critical business processes involved) Demonstrated experience in team contributor responsibilities in cross-functional teams across the organization 
• Demonstrated experience and ability in successfully utilizing soft skills (effective communication, problem solving and decision making, negotiation, financial analysis) 
• Bank-specific training or experience in Retail/Corporate Banking, Loans and Mortgage, Consumer Financing, Wealth Management and Marketing desired  Direct experience or familiarity in Core Banking Systems (CASA, Loans, Credit Cards, Switch) a requirement 
• Direct experience in EastWest Bank-specific Core Systems (T24, Narada) an advantage
