Our Financial Markets and Wealth Management Group is looking for experienced professionals to join us in BGC, Taguig in the role of Financial Institution Officer.


As the Financial Institution Officer, you will be responsible for expanding and maximizing relationships with Financial Institutions, Counterparties, and service providers. You will also establish relationships with prospective Financial Institutions/Counterparties to engage in Correspondent Banking business activities and credit facility accommodations for the bank.

What the role will entail

  • Act as a liaison between other units of the bank and existing Correspondent Banks, serving as the primary point of contact for partner Correspondent Banks on behalf of other units within the Bank.
  • Manage queries on AML/KYC, due diligence, or EWB Corporate information from Counterparty and Correspondent Banks.
  • Prepare credit evaluations aligned with the Banks standards, draft Credit Approval Memos for review, and collaborate with Credit Management Division/Risk Management to allocate credit facilities to different users within the bank, for recommendation and approval by the FIM Head.
  • Facilitate review and documentation processes to negotiate additional funding sources (e.g. ISDA/GMRA/Trade financing) for recommendation to the FIM Head/Treasury Head.
  • Review and analyze the overall business relationship with financial institutions to maximize dealings with Foreign Correspondent Banks and negotiate fair prices for services provided, subject to recommendation and approval by the FIM Head.
  • Ensure FIM compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Coordinate with Investment Banking (IB) for Primary Issuance, engaging with Sales and other support units on timelines, external documents, and funding requirements.


What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a bank, specializing in Corporate Banking, Treasury, Financial Institutions/Correspondent Banking, or International Payments services.
  • Proficient in understanding macroeconomic data, Treasury functions, and basic credit management. 
  • SEC Registered Professional/BAP Certified Treasury Professional preferred, but not mandatory.
