Our Komo Team is looking for experienced professionals to join us in Makati for the role of Data Scientist.

In this role, you will support the development and implementation of machine learning models and data-driven strategies tailored to fintech applications, assist in the analysis of financial data to derive actionable insights for business improvement and risk management, and contribute to overall Business Unit goals by leveraging data science techniques to enhance decision-making processes.

What the role will entail

• Develop and deploy advanced machine learning models aimed at tackling key fintech challenges, including fraud prevention, credit risk assessment, and customer segmentation.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts to conduct comprehensive exploratory data analysis, deriving actionable insights to drive strategic business objectives forward.
• Creation of data visualization dashboards, enabling stakeholders to grasp critical findings effortlessly and empowering data-driven decision-making processes.
• Optimization and maintenance of existing machine learning models and algorithms, consistently striving to enhance performance and accuracy

What we're looking for

• Holder of Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field, with exposure to fintech concepts and applications.
• At least 5 years of experience in data analysis or machine learning, preferably in the fintech industry or related financial services with minimum 1 year experience as a lead
• Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and techniques, as well as machine learning algorithms and methodologies relevant to fintech applications
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, with experience in financial data analysis and modeling.
• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques, with the ability to apply them to fintech challenges such as fraud detection and risk assessment.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau/Power BI, and familiarity with fintech-specific data sources.
