Our Consumer Lending Team is looking for experienced professionals to join us in our Bonifacio Global City (BGC) site in the role of Credit Policy Officer.

As a Credit Policy Officer, you are responsible for developing and updating credit policies for acquisitions, underwriting, portfolio management, and collections, based on data analysis, economic indicators, and regulatory requirements. Your role includes evaluating portfolio and industry trends, updating policy manuals, assessing portfolio quality, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You'll also coordinate with business units to launch products, focusing on target markets, risk criteria, and profitability models to balance risk and reward for auto loan businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining an up to date, relevant, competitive credit policy covering acquisitions, credit underwriting, portfolio management and collections/ recovery based on portfolio data analytics, credit test results and macro -economic indicators, timely identification of opportunities and threats to enable these products to meet business objectives in terms of growth, profitability, brand awareness while at the same time ensuring manageable credit losses, and adherence to Bank and regulatory mandates.
  • Evaluate existing portfolio and industry trends to determine policies and strategies through data mining using various data mining tools such as SAS, Decision Tree
  • Update the policy manual to incorporate policy amendments based on results of test program performance and portfolio analysis.
  • Assess portfolio quality.
  • Provide credit risk criteria, review and approve program and marketing papers, process manuals, IOMs, PPMs, etc. within agreed TAT and in accordance to relevant regulations
  • Coordinate with business on launch of product programs and ensure that it effectively carries out a focused target market strategy, suitable risk acceptance criteria and profitability model.
  • Create and maintain sustainable and balanced risk-reward environment to enable various auto loans business to achieve portfolio growth, increased market share, manageable credit losses, all leading to maximized profitability.

What were looking for

  • College graduate of any four (4) year course related to business management, economics, banking and finance.
  • Extensively exposed in consumer credit risk management and analysis, credit life cycle and lending operations within banking industry, or has at least 5-year experience in Credit Processing and Approvals, Collections Management, and Portfolio Management/ Data Mining/Analytics
  • Willing to report onsite - BGC Taguig
